(Grand Rapids, Mich., March 25, 2025) – Bodwé Professional Services Group (Bodwé) announced today it will open an office location in Grand Rapids, MI, in April. This strategic expansion marks a significant step forward in the company's continued growth and underscores its ongoing commitment to serving clients and communities with innovative, high-quality professional services.
“The Bodwé mission is to build sustainable professional service businesses that grow the legacy and economy of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi, and everything we do is in service to that mission,” said Karl Kowalske, president, Buildings Services Branch, Bodwé. “Expanding our regional footprint and establishing a presence in Grand Rapids opens up new business opportunities and gives us access to an impressive and expansive talent pool.”
Situated in the Creston neighborhood, the new office will serve as a site for local collaboration, improved client relations, and career opportunities across the region; simultaneously, it will function as a strategic regional hub for national clients for Bodwé. By establishing a presence in the city, Bodwé is well-positioned to form new partnerships, meet the needs of local clients, and further support the dynamic business landscape that Grand Rapids offers.
“We are excited to open our doors in Grand Rapids and become a more integral part of this community,” said Ryan Odell, vice president of operations, Buildings Services Branch, Bodwé. “The new Grand Rapids office offers a dynamic, collaborative workspace that will help nurture creativity and innovation among staff while providing clients with tailor-made solutions to their challenges and projects.”
The new office was made possible by a grant from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC). The MEDC works with more than 100 partners to invest and expand operations and the workforce in Michigan communities. Additionally, they provide funding to support tribally owned businesses, focusing on non-gaming economic development.
"We are happy to support Bodwé Group's expansion to Grand Rapids through our Tribal Business Development Program,” said Tom Durkee, program director, Michigan Economic Development Corporation.
“The MEDC remains committed to executing the Make it in Michigan economic development strategy, including fostering sustainable tribal economies and building strong state-tribal relationships that extend well beyond gaming. By supporting the growth of tribal businesses like Bodwé, we are not only investing in job creation and community growth, but also celebrating the rich history, culture, and economy of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi."
